Professor, University of California, Irvine

Tim Tift is the Faculty Advisor and Instructor to the Undergraduate Minor in Educational Studies as well as a Lecturer in the Department of Education. He also serves in the Teacher Credential Programs and M.A.T. as an Instructor, at the University of California, Irvine.

In addition to his numerous achievements at UC Irvine, Mr. Tift has received the 1998 UNEX Distinguished Faculty Award. He brings 40 years of teaching, counseling and administrative experience to the implementation of the Minor in Education. In 2004, he had the honor of being inducted into the UC Irvine Athletic Hall of Fame.

Mr. Tift brings a patient’s perspective to the Board having undergone several surgeries (eye, knee replacement, foot, rotator cuff on both shoulders, colon, back) over the last 10 years. Mr. Tift holds a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Pepperdine University.
